Dr. Jacqueline Toscano is the owner of Cardinal Speech and Stuttering Therapy LLC. Dr. Toscano is a certified and licensed (MA, PA) speech-language pathologist specializing in working with people who stutter. She is a bilingual (Spanish-English) clinician who enjoys supporting clients and families of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Dr. Toscano also provides speech-language assessment and therapy for speech/language delay/disorders and speech sound disorders.
Dr. Toscano is a designated Ally of Stuttering™ and is trained in Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS®). She is also certified in Hanen More Than Words® and trained in DIRFloortime® therapy. Her primary mission is to uphold neurodiversity-affirming care practices for a variety of speaking patterns and social styles while catering therapy to each individual client's strengths and interests. Dr. Toscano has experience in multiple practice settings beyond private practice, including her work in public schools, early intervention, and outpatient community health centers.
Dr. Toscano graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish Studies from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She studied Communication Sciences and Disorders at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she graduated with her Master of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Dr. Toscano completed her clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where she focused her capstone efforts on health literacy access for non-English speakers.
Dr. Toscano teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the graduate level in the area of Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency Disorders. She also guest lectures on related topics and appreciates any opportunity to advocate for the stuttering community.
